He then became chief animator at the Trickfilm Studio, London, making TV commercials before forming his own studio Gingerbread Animation. After then, spending a year in Paris, on his return, Ginger Gibbons teamed up with Geoff Dunbar at the Grand Slamm Partnership. These included 'The Tale of Mr Todd and the Further Adventures of Benjamin Bunny', 'The Tale of Mrs Tiggywinkle and Mr Jeremy Fisher' and 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny', which were successful worldwide. The latter film was Emmy nominated in 1992 - 93. By 1994, Grand Slamm Children's Films was formed, with emphasis on pre-school animation. Already a successful children's animation director, his success continued with 'Kipper' and 'Percy the Park Keeper' (both of them award winners). Several years later, the success continued with Toot and Puddle, a pre-school animation series and winner of the USA Media and Iparenting Award. With his cartoons and pre-school animation programmes commanding good viewing figures throughout the UK and beyond, Ginger's role as a children's animation director has seen him work on further projects, such as 'The Hairdresser's Dog', 'Jijou' and 'The Magic Bed'.
